Spring House Bequia, Inc. (“MANAGER”) is a property and rental management company duly established in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to administer Spring House (the “HOTEL”), located in Bequia,St. Vincent and the Grenadines and owned by Christopher R. Robinson (“OWNER”).  The HOTEL is managed by the MANAGER who has the complete authority from the OWNER in order to market, lease and make all other decisions that may be reasonable or necessary for the safety and security of all guests (“GUEST”) and the profitable operation of the HOTEL.

Resort Rental Fees

The Government of St. Vincent & the Grenadines collects an EC$50 ($US19) departure tax, per person, when leaving the country. This must be paid in cash. Please keep sufficient funds available for this charge. This tax is not included in your rental fee and we cannot collect it for you.

Our All-inclusive Exclusive Rate Plan — What’s Included

What’s Not Included

      • Excess baggage or missed connection fees. We are not responsible if any airline is unable to carry your baggage for any reason including, but not limited to, cargo capacity, weight restrictions, size restrictions or missed connections. Please check with your airline for specific limits and policies. Claims for reimbursement should be made directly to the airline.
      • Private charters from Barbados, St. Lucia or other islands. Private charters can be arranged for an additional fee per passenger.
      • Departure taxes. Each passenger must pay government departure taxes of EC$50 (USD$19) in cash at the departure airport. We are not permitted to collect this on your behalf.
      • Applicable airport and airline taxes and surcharges.
      • Fine wines and spirits. A selection of fine wines and spirits are available for purchase.
      • Personal items. Guests are responsible for bringing their own person items such as diapers, baby wipes, sunscreen, tanning oil, hairbrushes, etc.
      • Excursions. We offer a variety of exciting boating excursions to our guests for an additional charge.

OCCUPANCY AND REGISTERED GUESTS.  Only those guests who are registered and approved by the MANAGER are allowed inside the HOTEL.  Please do not invite others that you meet around the island into the HOTEL without the MANAGER’S approval.  The facilities of the HOTEL and the food and beverages are provided for registered guests only. Non registered guests will be charged a $125 daily resort fee.

SPECIAL EVENTS.  Weddings and other SPECIAL EVENTS will involve bringing in outside services such as caterers, bartenders, cooks, musicians, servers, etc.  All SPECIAL EVENTS must be arranged through the MANAGER and additional fees paid to the MANAGER prior to the special event.  The exact pricing for the coordination of these SPECIAL EVENTS depends upon the event itself and will be quoted as requested.  Additional contractual arrangements may also be necessary.

SMOKING.  Smoking is not permitted within the HOTEL but may take place outside on the terraces, in the gardens or around the swimming pool.  Please take normal precautions to prevent any damage to the HOTEL.

USE OF ILLEGAL DRUGS.  The possession and use of illegal drugs within the HOTEL or the rental jeeps will not be tolerated and constitute grounds for immediate removal from the HOTEL without recourse, refund or reimbursement.  Penalties for possession, use or trafficking of illegal drugs in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are severe, and convicted offenders can expect long, unpleasant, jail sentences and heavy fines.  U.S., Canadian or E.U. citizens are not exempt from local laws and cannot expect any protection from their own government.

EXCESSIVE ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION.  Our guests, whether on the All-Inclusive Plan with the included open bar facilities, or on the Resort Only Vacation/Individual Room Rate Plans, are welcome to consume alcoholic beverages within reason while staying at the HOTEL.  However, excessive alcohol consumption, or loud, offensive or destructive behavior will not be tolerated.  We ask that you respect your neighbors and surrounds and use judgment and moderation to achieve the maximum enjoyment from your visit to Bequia.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT.  Check in time is 3:00 p.m. on the START DATE and check out is 11:00 a.m. on the END DATE.  Please advise the MANAGER in advance of availability if you wish to change these terms.

ELECTRONIC SAFES.  Each bedroom is equipped with an electronic safe that is programmed to your individual code upon check-in.  There is a $100.00 USD fee if you forget your code and forced entry into the safe is required to return your valuables.

SWIMMING POOL/HOT TUB.  The swimming pool or the hot tub of the HOTEL is used entirely by the guests of the HOTEL and at their own risk.  No lifeguard is on duty.  It is imperative and the responsibility of the GUEST that children are supervised at all times in and around the pool or hot tub area.  No diving is allowed.  The depth of the pool is between one (1) and eight (8) feet.  Under no circumstances shall any glass be used in or around the swimming pool or hot tub.  Breakage of a single glass may require drainage and cleaning of the entire pool or hot tub, which would be at the sole additional substantial expense of the GUEST.  Plastic cups, plates and utensils are available for your convenience.  Toddlers are required to wear swimming diapers when using the pool.  They are not available on the island so please bring them with you. Consult your physician before using a hot tub especially if pregnant or taking medication.

FLIGHT BOOKING CONVENIENCE.  Flights from Barbados to/from Bequia, when booked as a courtesy to our guests, are provided by SVG Air, Mustique Air, and/or Grenadine Airways. Spring House Bequia, Inc acts solely as a convenience agent for the guest to facilitate the booking of these flights and is not responsible nor has liability for the operation of the airline including, but not limited to, cancellations, delays, overbooking, refusal to transport, passenger or baggage restrictions as well as actual, concurrent, intervening, proximate, unforeseeable or remote causes and/or effects. All questions relating to these flights should be directed to the relevant airline. Spring House Bequia, Inc does not endorse nor receive commissions from these companies.

JEEPS ORDERED UNDER ALL INCLUSIVE PLAN. Vehicles used by guests of Spring House Bequia, Inc. and booked on guests behalf under the All Inclusive Plan are provided by Bequia Jeep Rentals. Spring House Bequia, Inc acts solely as an agent for the guest to facilitate the booking of these vehicles, is not a party to the contract, and is not responsible nor has liability for any aspect of their operation, safety, maintenance or security including while parked at Spring House as well as actual, concurrent, intervening, proximate, unforeseeable or remote causes and/or effects. All questions relating to these vehicles should be directed to Bequia Jeep Rentals. Spring House Bequia, Inc does not endorse nor receive commissions from this company. Guests are responsible for all payments, fuel, damage and costs relating to these vehicles.

EXCURSIONS. No excursions are included in the hotel rental prices. Guests may solicit advice or assistance with booking excursions, activities or trips from the House Manager, Concierge or other staff member from time to time. Such advice or assistance does not constitute liability by Spring House Bequia, Inc as to the nature, reliability, safety or other conduct of such excursions which are conducted by independent excursion companies and in no way associated with Spring House Bequia, Inc. Spring House Bequia, Inc acts solely as an agent for the guest to facilitate the booking of these excursions, activities or trips and is not responsible nor has liability for the operation of the excursion, activity or trip including, but not limited to, cancellations, delays, overbooking, safety, lateness, staffing, conduct or pricing as well as actual, concurrent, intervening, proximate, unforeseeable or remote causes and/or effects. All questions relating to these excursions should be directed to the relevant tour company. Spring House Bequia, Inc does not endorse nor receive commissions from these companies.

ADDITIONAL TERMS.  Upon check-in, the GUEST agrees to read and adhere to the guidelines of the HOTEL provided by the MANAGER at check-in.

LICENSING.  Spring House Bequia, Inc. is not a licensed company in any state of the United States of America or in the United Kingdom and both parties enter into this Agreement with this knowledge.  The laws and regulations of the country of St. Vincent and the Grenadines will apply in all cases.

SECURITY DEPOSIT.  A credit card imprint with a $500.00 USD hold will be taken at check-in to cover incidental expenses, damages, losses, fine wine purchases and other expenses.  A detailed accounting of all charges will be presented upon check-out from the HOTEL.

RENTAL AGREEMENT. You may be asked to sign a copy of your rental agreement on check in if you do not have one in your possession.

RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GUEST.  The GUEST or, if a group, the GUEST’s primary contact, is responsible for the conduct of the entire group together with any of their children or other invitees who are under the age of eighteen (18). The GUEST expressly agrees that this agreement shall cover all members of the entire group together with any of their children or other invitees.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.  Standards of personal responsibility in many countries vary from those commonly found in the U.S.A. and many western countries.  There should be no expectation of safety standards or liability protection.  Signs or other warnings may not be posted.  Areas may not be fenced.  Restaurant standards vary.  Vehicles may not meet the standards that you are used to.  Roads may have steep and unprotected drop-offs, damage or obstructions, poor lighting or deep drainage ditches. Use good judgment when using taxis, boats, excursions, swimming or engaging in other activities.  You are solely responsible for yourself.  The laws of your home country will not protect you.

WAIVER AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY.  GUEST HEREBY WAIVES AND RELEASES, indemnifies, holds harmless and forever discharges the HOTEL, its OWNER, MANAGER and their respective owners, agents, staff, employees, officers, directors, affiliates, successors and assigns, of and from any claims of OWNER, MANAGER or employee negligence and any and all claims, demands, debts, contracts, expenses, causes of action, lawsuits, damages and liabilities, of every kind and nature, whether known or unknown, in law or equity, that GUEST ever had, may have or has, arising from or in any way related to participation in any of the events or activities arising out of GUEST’S stay at the HOTEL or any activities conducted by, on the Premises of, of for the benefit of the HOTEL, provided that this waiver of liability does not apply to any acts of gross negligence, or intentional, willful or wanton misconduct.

GUEST understands that their stay may expose them to dangerous conditions, including, but not limited to insects and spiders, ditches, erosions of the land whether man-made or natural, sharp rocks, animals, both wild and domestic, and GUEST acknowledges that even domesticated animals may have dangerous propensities and can create hazardous conditions, including horses, cattle, dogs, goats, etc.  On behalf of themselves, heirs, assigns and next of kin, GUEST waives all claims for damages, injuries to property or to person, including death, suffered by GUEST or GUEST’S property that GUEST may have against the aforestated released parties for such activity or conditions.

By this Waiver, GUEST assumes any risk, and takes full responsibility, waiving any claims for personal injury, death or damage to personal property that GUEST may have against the aforestated released parties, including, but not limited to manmade hazards associated with the Premises such as slippery shower basins, swimming pool facilities, high decks and verandas, stairs, low railings, beaches and natural hazards such as holes, ditches, culverts, fallen trees, branches, fence posts, mud or other irregularities and using the terrain or surrounding land for any use including walking, jogging, picnicking, hiking, mountain cycling or other related activities on and off the Premises, whether or not attributable to GUEST’S own neglect or fault, including use of all motorized vehicles whether deemed safe or otherwise.  GUEST further understands that the HOTEL make no claims or representations about fitness for use of the property and the surrounding land for any particular purpose, other than stated, and makes no warranties, either expressed or implied, as to the safety of the Premises, and that GUEST is using said property at GUEST’S own risk.

 

This WAIVER AND RELEASE contains the entire liability agreement between the parties, and supersedes any prior written or oral agreements between them concerning the subject matter of this WAIVER AND RELEASE.  The provisions of this WAIVER AND RELEASE may be waived, altered, amended or repealed, in whole or in part, only upon the prior written consent of all parties.  The provisions of this WAIVER AND RELEASE will continue in full force and effect even after the termination of the activities conducted by, on the premises of, or for the benefit of the HOTEL, whether by agreement, by operation of law or otherwise.

 

GUEST has read, understands and fully agrees to the terms of this WAIVER AND RELEASE.  GUEST understands and confirms that by signing this WAIVER AND RELEASE GUEST has given up considerable future legal rights.  GUEST has signed this Agreement freely, voluntarily, under no duress or threat of duress, without inducement, promise or guarantee being communicated to GUEST.  GUEST’S signature is proof of GUEST’S intention to execute a complete and unconditional WAIVER AND RELEASE of all liability to the full extent of the law.  GUEST is eighteen (18) years of age or older, not under guardianship or conservatorship, and is mentally competent to enter into this waiver.  This Agreement and its terms and provisions will include everyone in GUEST’S group, family or party including, but not limited to any minors who accompany GUEST or who are under GUEST’S care.  GUEST further agrees that GUEST shall assume responsibility for watching and caring for the minor’s safety and guarding against all hazards, whether explicitly mentioned in this WAIVER AND RELEASE or otherwise. 

 

DISPUTES.  Both parties agree, in the case of any contractual dispute, that the jurisdiction, laws and regulations of the country of St. Vincent and the Grenadines will exclusively apply in all cases.
